When I arrived in Cairo I knew I would need some form of transport, fortunately I had already booked my car on the easy to use Europcar website, which made it very convenient arriving off the plane and having a car ready to go. When I located the booth for Europcar I was greeted with a smile from the friendly lady at the counter and she kindly explained all the features Europcar offers.
The car I booked was the one top sellers, the economical Volvo S40 2012 which seated five and in the giant sauna known as Cairo I was relived to know that there was a fully functional air conditioner. There were also some safety features I found out about as she continued on to say that there were front and rear airbags and a remote anti-theft alarm system which when activated would wake up all of Cairo.
She explained how I would pay for everything upfront and if I crashed or if the car was stolen they would cover all the costs. The only thing that took a bit of time to organise was my international license which I had to book online on www.aa.co.nz . After she had explained all of these things the Europcar employee asked me where I was taking the car, she wasn't to surprised to hear that I was going to the Great Pyramids and the Cairo Museum she said they were very popular tourist attractions.
My favourite thing about Europcar was that you picked up and dropped off your car at the airport unlike when I was tramping in Nepal, my hotel was across the street from the airport but I had to drop my car at the rental company 50 kilometres away and I missed my flight back to New Zealand.

Cool
