Restaurants

While I'm  in Cairo I'll be eating at three restaurants Sequioa, Maestro and finally the one I'm going to tell you about the Zitouni Restaurant located at 1089 Corniche, El Nil, 11519 Garden City. Zitouni is alongside the stunning River Nile. In my opinion Zitouni has beautiful decor, with flowers on every table and the walls painted a soft relaxing yellow.

At Zitouni I wanted to try a little bit of everything so instead of ordering from the extensive menu I was treated to a meal from the mouth watering lunch and dinner buffet. To start with I scented from the wide selection of food and decided on a delectable vegetarian meal, Falafel with Chickpeas which made me wonder if it would be so bad going vegetarian. Next I had a small serving of Tomato-Barley soup with appetising Beef Dumplings which was to die for due to the high quality of the vegetables and meat. And to finish off I had a divine Om Ali dessert which consisted of soft pieces of puff pastry with nuts raisins and coconut mixed in before finally being smothered with hot sweetened milk and cream. After that I felt ready to explode with food that should belong in a five star restaurant. This delicious Egyptian buffet cooked by gourmet chefs and served by expert staff reflected well on this elegant restaurant with a soft friendly atmosphere.

For Zituoni I would give a ten out of ten every time for its wide variety of high quality and nourishing delicacies, helpful staff who will order up anything you ask for, a fast and efficient buffet with flavours that burst in my mouth and at only $88.00 NZD its a cheap treat that the whole family could enjoy.
